The vet is just like Siegfried Farnham! But he's a joy to watch care for your pet.

Whilst on Holiday in Jersey with my Dog in the summer he needed to be sedated (he hates anyone touching his feet) to have his nails trimmed and the fur between his pads all cut out as he was collecting too much sand (To take home) in between his pads. As with most pet owners we absolutely love and care intensely about our dog and the lovely nurse we dealt with who carried out the procedure totally put our minds at rest that he was in safe hands and they done a fantastic job and at a reasonable price. We visit Jersey every year and I most certainly would use them again, I only wish they were my local vet.

My dog had various diagnosis to a skin condition he developed, from March and every different diagnosis given was never formally followed up.........we just kept going back ourselves when no improvements happened and kept seeing different vets all the time with different opinions on treatment. After finally doing blood tests we were told it's a food related issue and not thyroid even though thyroid showed up on the blood tests. Challenged that statement to find an electronic letter specific to the blood tests had not even been opened up by a vet. Very disappointed to hear this letter now confirmed underactive thyroid so immediate tablets given. The skin condition still persisted so then we was told it's an infection, given antibiotics for 3 weeks and told that would sort it and not even asked to go back to follow up......no change in our poor dog on these antibiotics so we totally lost confidence and felt like these vets were struggling with anything out of the norm and we also felt no one there actually cared about our dogs health so we changed vets to New Era and what a difference.......really interested and CARE in our dogs health and immediately referred to a canine demotologist with further bloods. Sadly these bloods showed our poor dog has incurable T-Cell Lymphoma with prognosis 4-6 months. Medication program given and as I type this review our dog is doing well on the medication with good quality of life at present. We appreciate diagnosis is not always straightforward, but we do wonder what length and quality life our dog may have had if greater care and investigation had happened from March to when we changed vets.
