SHOCKING! DON'T BUY ANY PRODUCTS THERE. After the visit the nurse recommended to buy ProDen PlaqueOff Powder for Dogs & Cats, I bought the product 60mg in the clinic for £26.84. Back home I was doubting the high price for a plaque remover in such a small bottle. They are selling the procuct for 60% more! I immediately called the vet asking to bring the unopened prodcut back for a refund. They refused with the reason that i was told by the nurse that i can either buy it online or in the clinic!

I’ve been bringing my two dogs to Vets4Pets Richmond for over three years now, and I honestly cannot fault them. Chris and his team are fantastic – they genuinely care about the wellbeing of the animals they treat. One of my dogs has a long-term health condition, and I trust Chris and the other vets 100% with his care. We previously had a bad experience with another vet who seemed more focused on money than our dog’s health. That made us realise how important it is to find a vet who truly cares – and Chris and the team at Richmond are exactly that. They’re not in it for the money; they’re in it for the animals. The receptionists are also always so helpful and friendly – they really complete the experience and make every visit that much easier. I’m so grateful we found them.

Heartbreaking Loss Due to Misdiagnosis and Overmedication — Please Be Cautious I am deeply devastated by the care my beloved cat, Milo, received at this clinic under the supervision of vet Alexandra Chester. What began as an emergency visit for a brief body tremor (lasting only a few seconds) turned into an avoidable tragedy — due to what I believe was a misdiagnosis, overmedication with Meloxicam, and repeatedly dismissed concerns. I brought him in purely as a precaution, to rule out anything serious — especially since he was otherwise acting completely normal, healthy, and playful. Milo was completely healthy before this: eating, drinking, playing, and never having suffered from any illness. But his condition began to decline rapidly after being given Meloxicam over four consecutive days — a powerful anti-inflammatory drug that requires close monitoring. His initial blood tests were entirely normal. But after repeated doses of Meloxicam, abnormal results began to appear — yet no meaningful adjustments were made to his treatment, even as his condition clearly worsened. I raised my concerns multiple times and specifically requested further diagnostics like ultrasounds and scans. Instead, I was repeatedly reassured with comments like, “I’m not super worried about him. He’s not very ill. He is just in pain and we need to manage the pain with painkillers. No need for further tests.” I felt ignored and dismissed — as though his obvious decline wasn’t being taken seriously, and as if his life didn’t truly matter to them. Because of this negligence, I spent over £9,000 trying to save him — costs I never would have faced had Milo received appropriate care from the start. £1,895 was spent at this clinic, and £7,550 at the emergency hospital where he was finally referred once his condition became critical. But by then, the damage to his kidneys and stomach was extensive and irreversible. Milo spent his final days in pain and alone — and it breaks my heart knowing he was isolated in a hospital, without the comfort of familiar hands or the love he was used to. He underwent emergency surgery and spent two days in the ICU receiving intensive care. But it was too late. He didn’t recover. The emergency team ultimately made the decision to euthanize him — a moment I wasn’t prepared for, and one that will stay with me forever. What I truly lost is irreplaceable. I genuinely believe this could have been prevented had Milo received more attentive, cautious, and competent care from the beginning. Please think twice before trusting this clinic with your cat’s life. I’ve included two photos below: Photo 1 – Milo before treatment: taken the first day he was seen at the clinic — happy, healthy, and full of life. Photo 2 – Milo after his condition declined under the care of Alexandra Chester, just before being referred to the emergency hospital. At that point, she said: “I tried to figure out what was wrong, but I couldn’t. It’s better to refer him to a specialist.” By then, it was already too late. It breaks my heart to share this, but I do so in the hope that others won’t have to endure the same pain caused by such poor veterinary judgment.

Best Vets ever. Everyone works there is extremely kind, friendly and helpful. My dog needed an abdominal surgery to remove his undescended testicle, they were our first choice and we weren’t disappointed. They were supportive and professional all the way and most importantly my dog is recovering well from his surgery. This is the right place to trust if your pet needs to be checked or treated. Thank you so much and I am grateful for all what was done with my dog. You guys are angels!

Amazing team here - they're so considerate, caring and sensitive through difficult times. They always take their time with me and don't judge me when I get panicked or emotional about something my pet is experiencing, and when I had to put one of my cats to sleep they were so patient and understanding - they gave us time and space to say goodbye to her and they reassured me when I needed to hear that I'd made the right decision. Their treatments are very reasonably priced too - I travel there by taxi which costs me £50 each way, but even with the cost of travel it still works out cheaper than taking my pet to the local vets and getting her seen there. I'm lucky to have had their support through thick and thin and I appreciate their hard work and kindness in dark times.
