Moving our cat and dog from here was the best decision we made. We were with Vets4Pets for years, but their service and care has really gone down hill.
The reception staff are often rude and you feel like you're a total inconvenience.
You never see the same vet twice and theres no consistency in their advice or care.
Youre rushed in and out and its clear they push what makes them the most profit, instead of listening to your concerns, talking through options or listening to your wishes.
Heaven forbid if you have an emergency operation for your pet in the day, they have no out of hours care and expect YOU to transport your animal who can still be very poorly and not long post surgery.
Id highly recommend giving them a wide berth and looking for an independently run vets!
Terrible Service which is ran on Locum Vets.
I was with these for a couple of years, I can tell you, they are taking on far too many animals on the care plans (for profit) and they cannot cope with the amount of animals that need appointments.
Sometimes the phone will not be answered at all and other times, they will answer and put you on hold for 5 or 10 minutes whilst the admins deal with something else. I have also sat in reception and watched admins ignore phone calls – Just imagine if the person calling needed an emergency appointment for something life threatening, it is disgusting.
They are good at offering same day appointments but be prepared to wait in reception for anything up to an hour past your appointment time. I have sat waiting for an hour before with just one other person waiting past their time also. It didn’t make sense as to the eye the surgery looked empty.
In two years, I had a number of appointments as my dog falls very poorly sometimes, with cancer and my dog only ever seen the same vet once. They run on Locum Vets, and I never felt confident with them. I always opted to be referred to specialist care to The Willows in Solihull due to this.
My dog is now registered with Bell, Brown and Bently – They run on time for your appointments, they always ensure that an appointment lasts the full half an hour. At Vets for Pets Hinckley, they rush you in and out so they can keep up with the demand.
If you really care about your pet, go and find a small-time practice, like I have and you will get a much better service, my new vets do not use Locum Vets.
Also, the care plan costs a little more at Bell, Brown and Bently but I now have better care plan which includes unlimited appointments with a vet and a full half hour!
Both our dogs are registered here. We have had nothing but care when they’ve been there.
Our boy has a heart murmur and we were put at ease with his condition and he was regularly monitored to ensure he was ok.
When our girl was spayed, we had regular updates on how she was doing and the aftercare was great.
We use the petplan for parasite treatment vaccinations and vet checks and we cannot fault it.
We wouldn’t go anywhere else as we feel so confident in the care that the team offer.
Couldn't fault them at all. Receptionist was caring and found out about what was needed and we saw a vet within half an hour of my phone call. The vet himself could not have done more.
Huge thanks to all of you making a bad day a bit easier

The service we receive and the way they look after our pet is second to none. Wouldn't think of taking him anywhere else.
I just wanted to thank you for Dr. Tudor Lloyd ‘s exceptional care for our cat . Since we first brought our cat in , your professionalism and patience have been evident in every consultation , and the way explain things in detail always make us feel at ease. Dr. Tudor not only a kind and caring person , also a experienced veterinarian.
Once again , thank you and your team .

This place really isn’t worth one star ,maybe I would give that for the receptionists as they are usually very polite and always seem to be busy , do whatever .
The vets are poor in my opinion, I believe I have only ever seen two English young vets since registering 6 years ago , and none in the last two years . They are all east European or Spanish , funny really as those countries wouldn’t scream animal welfare to me , money maybe would be more realistic . As it happens, when I asked one of the Spanish men about what happens when an owner cannot afford the treatments and they are not insured ( the first question they ask when deciding treatment ) I was quite surprised when he said, “ Sadly we have to euthanise “ Not particularly animal caring attitude.
My personal experience with this lot really started about 3.5 years ago , took my spaniel with an eye infection, conjunctivitis I was told , over £7000.00 later and many different combinations of medication, many repeated over and over again, even though they didn’t work , a visit to their recommended specialist at a cost of £500.00 , that Vets for Pets totally ignored any advice he gave, an operation performed because the Spanish girl believed she knew better than the specialist, another disaster, now the dog cannot close his eyes when sleeping , is it any wonder his eyes are now dry and he needs ointment for the rest of his life, the same ointment that the specialist recommended.
IS IT ANY WONDER THE DOG IS NOW BLIND !!
And yesterday they gave me the same medication as he had in February, that that vet said they wouldn’t recommend as it’s not really for dogs , yet it was the only one that had ever shown any benefit, just another £400.00 Please.
