Filey Veterinary Practice Ltd is a long-established practice (over 30 years, per its website) offering routine healthcare alongside in-house investigations and procedures such as blood tests, anaesthetics and dentistry. It also states it welcomes pets who are visiting with their owners, and it’s listed as a veterinary nurse training facility.
From the latest reviews, owners often describe being seen quickly for urgent problems (including same-day emergency appointments for unregistered pets), and there are specific examples of more advanced work-ups being arranged promptly (e.g., X‑rays followed by a bladder flush for a rabbit with bladder sludge). Reviews are mixed on cost and confidence: some say pricing was reasonable (or cheaper than their usual vet), while others report a high bill and dissatisfaction with the exam/diagnosis.

A wonderful and friendly team who have looked after my pets for many years. Always caring, attentive and brilliant any time we’ve visited. Thank you.

Used this practise for over 20years never had a complaint before but the examination was poor with no confidence in the diagnosis but then received the bill absolutely ridiculous. Left and took him to another vet who diagnosed the problem immediately cost a fraction of the price.will never use this practice again. Absolutle rip off!!

Had been registered for years. They changed the emergency overnight vet to Bridlington which is 30 miles from me. They did not notify any of the clients they had done this fir fear of losing a few percent of their client base. So they put one piece of a4 paper up in the surgery saying weve moved your emergency vet to brid they left it on the wall for about a month and then classed that as technically informing everybody. In the event of an emergency you being an hour away from help rather than 15 minutes in many instances will make the difference between life and death. They have endangered the lives of every pet on their client list to save losing a few people when they found out the emergency vet had been moved I rang up very upset and the typical pp passive aggressive couldn't care less receptionist told me...we put it up on the website mate I got angry and then they kicked me off their client list So in summary...theyll endanger your animals life to save themselves money and the smiling harpies on reception will turn on you in s heartbeat if you dare to complain about anything Also the only entrance to the building is by an incredibly busy and dangerous road Travel out to scarborough if you live in filey its not worth the risk using this practice

Lovely welcoming staff and convenient location. The staff were very helpful as I had just moved to the area and my kitty was poorly. The vet was wonderful informative and customer friendly. Would highly recommend to anyone....

I switched from a previous vets as I lost my trust in them when it came to care for my two rabbits. I've only had a couple of appointments and telephone conversations with Filey Vets but I already feel more at ease and feel like my bunnies are getting the best care, I've made the right decision. Siouxsie has had issues with bladder sludge for many years and despite a change in diet as suggested by my previous vets it's never really gone away, even with supplements. Unfortunately it got worse in the past week so I decided to get her booked in and they arranged x-rays and a bladder flush right away! When I asked previous vets for x-rays etc., they told me it wasn't really worth it, in their opinion. I'm glad I did through Filey however. A lot of the information I received poorly at the previous vets was always down to the vet's opinion and I don't think that was professional enough. Now I feel at ease knowing my girls will be getting the best care :)

My dog was poorly while we were away on holiday and Filey vets very kindly saw her as an emergency. The staff were friendly professional and caring. I was seen on the same day even though my dog was not registered. The price was no dearer than my regular vet’s and my dog was improved within hours. Thank you all so much. I would highly recommend this practice.
