Fabulous practice. Very friendly. Very professional. Extremely knowlegeable. The staff put both my boys as ease & they just love them all. Lots of licks, tail wags and cuddles every visit Cannot recommend highly enough

Caring, friendly, approachable, polite team of people. Nothing is too much trouble when it comes to looking after your pets. They have been amazing with my cats, dog and guinea pigs. When you walk through the door it is such a friendly and welcoming place to be. I highly recommend this practice to anyone wanting the best care for their pets.

Caring, friendly, approachable, polite team of people. Nothing is too much trouble when it comes to looking after your pets. They have been amazing with my cats, dog and guinea pigs. We were staying near Appleby recently when my sister’s little dog needed some intervention that was quite straight forward, but required doing as soon as possible. We rang Old Hall, and regardless of not being registered there she was seen within a couple of hours. The care couldn’t have been better and all concerns were removed. Thank you for the excellent care.

I never imagined writing a positive review about one of the worst days of my life, but here it is. Our beloved Minnie, a beautiful 16-year-old Labrador, had to be put to sleep on Saturday. That morning, we noticed something was wrong and took her to Old Hall Vets. Sadly, our worst fears were confirmed—she had a tumour. Helen, who kindly stayed behind after her morning surgery to help us, was truly incredible. She reassured us that Minnie wasn’t in any pain or discomfort and compassionately explained the prognosis and the process of euthanasia. Helen took such care to sedate Minnie first, ensuring she remained calm and peaceful. Throughout the entire process, Helen and the team treated Minnie—and us—with such kindness, professionalism, and love. They gave us all the time we needed to say goodbye and supported us through what was an incredibly difficult experience. While it was a heartbreaking day, we are so grateful that Minnie’s passing was handled with dignity and care. From recognizing her illness to helping her peacefully pass, everything was done smoothly and with such compassion. Thank you to Helen and all the team at Old Hall Vets. John and Diane
