I cannot recommend Quietus enough, after making the difficult decision that is was time to let our beloved cat Ivy go we rang and what we received from start to finish was a compassionate and professional service. We rang on the Wednesday and booked for the Friday, Paul was able to give us a time slot to work with, explained each step of the process so we knew what to expect and gave us time to look at the options for the cremation and receiving her ashes back, he also made it clear that Yvonne was coming and not him. On the day Yvonne made, what was a difficult situation so much easier, she explained how things would go and explained how cats normally react to the the injections, the entire process took around 45 minutes from start to finish for us, it consisted of three injections, they weren't rushed and we felt we had ample time to spend with her in her final moments, but there were also other aspects that really showed the compassion, to the basket she was put in for transportation after she passed to the handwritten card we received from Yvonne. The service is expensive, however you get exactly what you pay for and both me and my partner thought it was worth every penny, to ensure the final moments were in her own home, in her spot and unstressed, it also made it easier for us with less to worry about, if ever we found ourselves in the same situation again we wouldn't hesitate to contact Quietus as we really cant recommend them enough.

Yvonne from Quietus vets was amazing, she was so compassionate and kind. Bailey spent the last hours of her life at home in her own environment with her family around her until the very last minute! Yvonne didn’t rush us, the 3 injections gave us time to say our goodbyes with Bailey calm and relaxed, before she quietly slipped away. Bailey was taken away and returned to us 2 weeks later following an individual cremation in a lovely slate urn. I can’t thank Yvonne and Paul enough for a calm and dignified goodbye to our beautiful girl Bailey.

I contacted Paul when we had to make the difficult decision to part with our friend of thirteen years due to severe ill health. Paul was professional from the outset, explaining the procedure on the phone. He was even able to offer advice on how to make Alfie more comfortable when I rang him in a panic to see if he could attend earlier than planned (he did) as Alfie had taken a turn for the worse. On the day that we dreaded, Paul could not have been more caring and he gave us as much comfort as he did Alfie. The 3 stage process was unhurried and we were given time to spend time with Alfie as he quietly slipped away. We cannot thank him enough as he made a difficult time easier for us to bear and, more importantly, easier for Alfie to pass with dignity and without pain.

Saying goodbye to our beloved elderly dog was always going to be upsetting. Paul made the experience as gentle and as easy as possible. His manner and the way in which the whole process was handled was professional, calm and made us feel comfortable from the start - helping us deal with the difficult situation. Thank you for offering this service Paul, you’ve made our last memories so much more bearable.

Making the hard choice when it finally came to the end of our little man's life was made that tiny bit easier by the professionalism and care that Paul gives. Bear was 14 year old Black cat who until a few months ago was the best cat and then, like many his age, his kidneys started to fail and over the space of 6 weeks he just slowly declined till we had to make that call. We found out about Quietus vets online and thought how less stressful it would be for Bear to leave us with us by his side at home, not frightened on a vets table. Anyone who thinks that this service isn't worth paying that little bit extra, please let me tell you I couldn't of asked for anything more from the service that Paul provided us. As part of what Paul does he provides a sedative before starting the process which relaxes your friend to make it easier, something most vets don't provide before the anesthetic. Again another reason his service is worth it. We got to hold him and say our goodbyes at home, with no outside glances or anyone else interrupting bears final moments. When he had passed we got as much time as we needed with him, there was no rush in anyway from Paul just his kind words. I got to carry him out for one last time before Paul took him on. Also I got home from work yesterday to a hand written personnel bereavement card from Paul about bear and the choice we have to make, a personnel touch I doubt I would have got from anywhere else. We are very grateful to Quietus vets and Paul, would highly recommend to anyone having to deal with the most difficult choice a pet owner has to make.
