Most vet practises my Dachshund has played up and tried bitting them. I found that at Matt Smiths they made sure Maple was relaxed and happy before starting the consult.

This morning my little dog gave birth to 4 puppies, the last one was a shock. I went straight to matts as his intestines were outside his body they were put back in and he was stitched he was home within an hour of being born and back with mum. This was a really scary moment but everyone at matts were amazing, they kept me informed and gave me advise on aftercare I cant thank you all enough, from reception staff,nurses and vets

Lovely staff so kind and caring. After having to let my beautiful chocolate lab go .The staff were very kind and restful. They have really made my cockapoo puppy so welcome .He was so anxious on his guest visit but now when he hoes for his monthly puppy check . He loves everyone Nurses are so good with him and he loves there cuddles and treats .

All the staff here have always been brilliant! Vets, nursing staff and reception staff are always so welcoming and kind. My dog Murphy has been cared for there since a pup and she never minds visiting. I went today for her booster injection and I needed some advice about another issue. I saw Kim who gave me some great and extremely helpful information, so knowledgeable and reassuring and I felt like she gave me loads of time and was so gentle and kind to Murph! Can’t recommend highly enough.

By far the best vets I’ve ever visited! The whole team is so lovely, friendly, and welcoming, they really make you feel cared for and supported from the moment you walk in. I’ve visited this practice twice now, and both experiences were wonderful. Sadly, on my most recent visit I had to have my ferret, Draco, put to sleep. It was such a difficult moment, but the staff were incredibly kind, gentle, and understanding. They treated both me and Draco with so much compassion and respect, and I’ll always be grateful for that. On top of their amazing care, their prices are very fair and affordable, which takes away a lot of stress during emotional times. I couldn’t recommend this practice highly enough The lovely ladies here truly go above and beyond! 💕

Amazing Practice. I'm registered here but not a frequent visitor ! However, last week I had to go with my 14 year old cat. They listened, advised and were v. compassionate. The staff were all beautiful and treated me like family. I thought the prices were OK, not super expensive. Plenty of space to park. Time keeping for appointments was really good. Communication across staff was v.good.

I would highly recommend as the staff and Matt are lovely and care so much about everyone's pets. Also reasonable prices. They looked after our Charley and were very caring when he was put to sleep. Thank you all so much. Charmaine and Ralph

When it’s the phone call you don’t want to make, the call that’s breaking your heart. True professional and caring as I had to have my little Luna laid to rest. Chesterfield Pet Crematorium did my vets proud. Then today I received a card from the vets. It’s the small things that make you cry but help you along in the healing process ❤️

Incredible service and the most caring staff I have ever experienced in all my years of owning pets. I unfortunately had to have my elderly hamster put to sleep and I was incredibly upset and the care and attention they showed me absolutely humbled me. I even received a hand written condolence card in the post. They all went above and beyond to help me and provide end of life care to my beloved pet. Thank you to all the team xx
