Cedars Veterinary Centre is a small-animal practice that also operates as a veterinary nurse training facility. Based on recent reviews, owners describe being offered same-day appointments and quick turnaround for urgent problems (for example, a lunchtime call leading to an appointment that afternoon, followed by dental surgery the next day). Several reviews mention hands-on treatment during visits—such as giving an antibiotic and a pain-relief injection immediately—and follow-up communication including a post-op call from the surgeon after cruciate ligament surgery. While most experiences are strongly positive, one recent review alleges a serious breakdown at reception around an appointment booking, resulting in an elderly long-term client feeling embarrassed and leaving without their cat being seen.

Needed a vet for one of our cats as our usual vet was away on holiday. Rang at lunchtime and offered an appointment that same afternoon. Very little waiting on arrival. Vet was friendly and knowledgeable. Diagnosed our Siamese boy had a bad tooth and provided an antibiotic and a painkilling injection there and then. Was booked back in the very next day for dental surgery. In less than 24 hours, Eros (our rather vocal Chocolate point Siamese), was treated and is now almost fully recovered. Cannot recommend Cedars Vets in Warsop highly enough. Thank you!

Amazing vets, they helped us massively and did everything they could for our pup meila. I can't thank them enough, we're very grateful for how considerate, kind and reassuring the staff here was ❤️ big thank you to Abby who called us back 1000 times as we figured things out, as well as Steven and the surgeon (whoever that may be) and of course all of the other hard working staff at Cedars. If there's anybody who needs a good vets for their pet, you can't get much better than here, they really do everything they can. Thank you so much ❣️

Deeply Disappointed After 17 Years of Loyalty I’m writing this on behalf of my elderly friend who has been a loyal client of Cedars Veterinary Centre for over 17 years. On Saturday, 6th September, she had a confirmed appointment for her cat Moshi, who was in visible distress due to a cone that had been on for several weeks following an injury. When we arrived, the reception staff loudly and rudely claimed she had no appointment, despite her confirmation that same morning. My friend was embarrassed and humiliated in front of other clients and ended up walking out in tears. The staff member continued to speak in an unprofessional and dismissive way, even after I tried to explain the urgency of the situation. Her cat was later found to have a bleeding neck—an issue that should have been addressed at that very appointment. A week later, the apology given was insincere and still placed blame on us. This kind of treatment is unacceptable for any customer, let alone one who has supported the clinic for nearly two decades. Sadly, we will be seeking care elsewhere.

We have brought our dog here since her very first inoculations and they have always been excellent. We’re fairly regular visitors with everything over the years from anal glands to ear infections. She’s pretty nervous of going inside the vets since an incident with a fruit scone necessitated her being made sick, an example of them going above and beyond, because I called just before they closed on a Saturday and they said ‘just get her here, we’ll wait’ - I will be forever grateful for that. More recently they have taken care of our girl’s torn cruciate ligament. Stephen took the time to fully explain the operation she would need, what was involved and how she would recover. I’ve just had a call from David, the surgeon to let me know it has been successful. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the whole team who really do care, and I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my dog. Thanks Stephen and team - you’re all amazing.

My doogles LOVE coming to the vet. Don’t ask me why, but it could be because I’ve worked at a vet before so they’re comfortable with me being in a familiar environment!! So glad we have such a good team at Cedars. They take very good care of my three and they’re close to home.

Excellent care & treatment for our cat Chip. She has several health problems which have been dealt with by Stephen over the last two years. Chip is now a completely chilled happy cat, thanks to all the caring staff at Cedars.
