If I could give no starts I would! Took my puppy to have him checked over due to sloppy poos and vomiting. The receptionist was lovely she spoke in detail with us and asked when he was last wormed, she then suggested we wormed him but to go to pets at home to buy it as it would be cheaper than waiting in the vets for a check up and prescription, but were advised on waiting for an open slot to see the vet by another lady behind the desk. We were happy to have a health check and wait. Bianca seen our dog without an appointment which was great. After some talks about diagnosis we were given an anti-sickness jab and oralade hydration fluid. We were offered a sedation and xray to look further into the problem and we told her he wasn’t yet insured due to picking him up a couple of days ago, she told us the treatment would be expensive so we asked for a payment plan option (we were told treatment would be over £1000 with the initial sedation, xray then possible surgery as she believed he had a blockage) but they couldn’t offer a payment plan. So Bianca told us in 24 hours he will have to be euthanised to stop his long painful death due to having a blockage?? My partner asked why in 24 hours, she said doing it straight away would be cruel. Bizarre to make a dog wait 24 hours if they are in pain, more bizarre to make a diagnosis and threat of euthanasia without fully knowing if her diagnosis was true. She told us NOT to worm him with him being unwell. At a loss leaving we decided we have 24 hours to try help our pup.. we contacted his breeder and he suggested worming him would be a good idea as he hadn’t been wormed in 4 weeks. With this being the advise from the receptionist too before seeing the vet we went to the shop and gave him a dose of drontal and continued his oralade. Our puppy is back to full health and keeping us on our toes. I will also be putting in a formal complaint because if we listened to the ‘vet’ he would now be in a box.

Took my rottie down this morning, who hates the vets. A comment was made that he hates everyone which couldnt be further from the truth, He loves me and he loves his neighbours who pet him every day. He only goes to the vets once a year and someone always pokes him with a needle and shoves stuff up his nose (vaccinations), I dont think id like it either haha so his guard is up when we are there. plus he had meds to make him sleepy and they seemed to make him paranoid rather than sleepy but it was worth a try. Our appointment was with Bianca and I really cant thank her enough, I was panicing a lot as our last vet visit was quite difficult but she put me at ease with the odd supportive comment and managed to do vaccines and chemically castrate him, which although we went there for that. I never thought she would actually manage it. he did growl at her alot as he hates strangers touching his neck if he does not know them but not once did she show fear. when trying to listen to his heart, he did get a bit much and i asked her if she was ok and she was great about it. I dont think that visit could of gone any better with anyone else. Bianca being so calm made such a difference to the outcome. Really cant thank her enough. Thank you

As always Vets 4 Pets step up and offer an excellent service. These are my registered vets for 5 animals and are in my opinion second to none in service, kindness and commitment to their animal patient and families. As with all vets it's expensive as any other, they have offered a multiple and appointment and only charged me for one consultation. They endeavour to keep necessary cost to the minimum, which shows the honesty and integrity of the Hartlepool practice. Thank you for support.

The staff are very nice, but why are they charging me £60 for dog ear drops that cost £15 online?

Only care about money not you or your pet as my 11 week old puppy needed care and becaue I didnt have the 360 only 200 would have to wait 9 days for the rest would not treat him he could of died for all they cared got him sorted elsewere hes fine now no thanks to them absolutely disgusting wouldnt recommend to any one at all
