Alexander Veterinary Centre offers general veterinary care with on-site diagnostic and treatment facilities, including modern surgery and dentistry, an in-house laboratory, and imaging (X-ray and ultrasound) plus ECG. The clinic also states it provides emergency care, and one review describes late-night treatment after a cat was attacked by a dog.
Based on the latest reviews available to us, owners often mention thorough explanations (for example, a vet discussing a young dog’s growth in detail and answering questions), but there are also serious negative reports: one reviewer describes a major medication error, and another describes poor communication and follow-up around euthanasia as well as an automated vaccination reminder two weeks later.
The website notes participation in the IVC Evidensia “Positive Pawprint Partner” scheme and references Pet Health Club®.

Staff very good. Can be a tad costly but that is a common feature of all vets.

Awful experience when my dog was put to sleep. Left with dead body for ages, nobody checked in. Phone call from some agency two weeks later reminding me of his annual injections. Informed 'manager' who promised to follow it up, I am still waiting to hear from her. I would not recommend this veterinary clinic.

Very dissapointed. We had a very bad experience. Major drug error even after advice from a reputable dog hospital. Also after many months of expressing concern about my Dogs teeth...nothing was done. I decided to leave this surgery...I am so so upset with myself as my poor dog has had 8 teeth taken out today as they were rotten. I do not recommend this vetenary surgery.

Still warm and caring, even if my dog is a drama queen and cries the whole time... The staffs warm and caring attitudes, environment, and how much they genuinely care about my dog puts me at ease. They explain everything carefully and in multiple ways if I don't understand or have more questions, while never making me feel rushed or ignored. Truly a fantastic place full of genuinely caring people. I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else.

The staff here are Absolutely fantastic, even if you have the slightest question about your pet they are happy to help. They don't just get to know you but they also get to know your pets too and what makes them unique to any other pet brought in. If your looking for a vet then this place would be the one. If I could give these guys more than 5* than I would, I'd definitely give them 10*.

My cat Olly was attacked by a dog 9.30 at night. The treatment he got from Alexanders was 1st class. I doubt that without their care & quick judgement Olly would not be here today.
