Wild Side Vets is a veterinary practice where the ownership/group status isn’t stated in the information provided. From the available detail, it appears set up for both routine care and more complex situations, including supporting nervous pets and carrying out surgery (including in small pets such as guinea pigs). Reviews repeatedly describe staff taking time with anxious animals—one owner mentions being offered desensitisation visits for a nervous spaniel—and there are also specific accounts of end‑of‑life support, including a home visit for euthanasia with step‑by‑step explanations and time given for owners to say goodbye.

I can't thank our vets enough for the exceptional care they’ve given to my nervous spaniel. From the very beginning, they’ve been incredibly empathetic—not just towards my dog, but towards me as well. They’ve gone above and beyond by allowing us to do desensitisation visits, which has made a huge difference in helping my spaniel feel more comfortable at the clinic. Every appointment is handled with genuine care and patience. The team takes the time to understand my dog’s needs, and their calm, compassionate approach has helped reduce a lot of our anxiety around vet visits. I’ve always felt supported and listened to, and it means the world to have a vet team that truly cares. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a kind, professional, and understanding veterinary practice. I'm very grateful to have them looking after my dog.

We had Wild Side Vets recommended by friends after having a poor and disheartening experience discussing end of life options for our 17 year old collie with our existing vet. After receiving a prompt email inquiry response from Kate (even out of hours), we were invited to Wild Side for a consultation to discuss options. The process was straightforward and all our concerns were met with patience, sensitivity and understanding. The vets performed a home visit to put our beloved dog to sleep and were fantastic in the way they handled it, offering words of comfort, explaining the process as it was happening, and stepping out to give us time alone with our old girl in her final moments. We wouldn't have wanted it done any other way and couldn't recommend Wild Side Vets enough for anyone else who has to face the tough decision of deciding when it's time for their pet. It's been reassuring to deal with a practice that puts their care and compassion for animals ahead of all else.

Have had nothing but brilliant service since Kate and the team opened. I have 5 guinea pigs, 3 of which have been under general anaesthetic and recovered very well despite the high risks involved. Most notably, we took Maria to get spayed as she was struggling with cysts. Due to Maria eating her stitches she ended up having to be put under again 24 hours later. Despite Kate warning us that if Maria did survive another op, she would probably get peritonitis, we went ahead. Thanks to the amazing work of Kate, the speed in which she reacted to our problem and the overall care she received, Maria not only survived but 6 months later is thriving. Most vets don't take small pets particularly seriously, or simply don't have a lot of knowledge of them and treat them as disposable, this really isn't the case at wildside. 🙂 P.s last week we took Josie in for emergency treatment, once again received amazing treatment (shes the dark one in the picture, 24 hours after surgery to remove a polyp)
