Clifton Lodge Veterinary Group is a multi-branch practice that’s been operating since 1950. The website highlights 24/7 digital vet support via a partnership with VidiVet, aimed at helping owners decide whether something needs an emergency visit. Recent reviewers repeatedly mention the branch being open again (including “all day Thursday”) and describe staff handling nervous dogs calmly; however, at least one reviewer strongly criticises pricing and perceived value, claiming a very brief visit plus tablets cost £100.
Google rating: 3.8 stars from 36 reviews. - Several owners describe friendly, professional staff, including good handling of nervous dogs during visits.

Very friendly staff, and professional, they were brilliant with our dog who is always reluctant to visit the vets!

Open again all day Thursday. So much easier to go for routine things, than travelling to Hartlepool with a nervous dog expecting the worst.

After years of being ripped off by these cowboys we decided to try Sore paws at Newton Aycliffe, wish we had done it 10 year ago and could have saved an absolute fortune. Last time here it cost us £100 for 2minutes of vets time and a few tablets, on the other side sore paws give our cat a thorough examination and talked about him for ages, getting to know his history etc, give 2lots of meds n was £53, probs would have been 150 here, never again.
